Our long experience in analog fiber optic transmission expertise, made it easy for us to come up with a innovative cost effective 2.5Gbps WDM platform: MANSYS. This platform allows transparent transport of GEth, HD-SDI, SDH, … or any existing protocol. MANSYS is now available with 10Gbps data rates and soon with 40Gbps. The MANSYS platform mixes all kind of signals on all kinds of installed fiber quality. Our deep knowledge in fiber transmission makes the difference when it comes to upgrade existing installation at lowest cost.

MANSYS business line

See Telecom has built on its expertise in analog optical transmissions to develop and market a best-in-class WDM 2,5/10G transmission platform for Telecom and Datacom operators providing them a carrier-grade solution. MANSYS differentiates by its ability to fit the most demanding requirements when it comes to transport secured or specific protocols with 100% reliability.

Get more out of your optical fibre

The MANSYS system has been specifically designed to provide virtual fibers over existing fibers, as well as providing physical path redundancy. This system uses a combination of CWDM technology (18 channels) and DWDM technology (80 channels) to have the best balance between maximum capacity of the fibre and technology cost. It ensures a faster return on investment to the customer and fit perfectly to the pay-as-you-grow philosophy. MANSYS also is the perfect tool to manage the physical layer of optical transport.

The explosive growth of broadband services in the telecommunications world has resulted in increased need for capacity in the transmission systems. Most of this growth is in Ethernet based services, but also other services that are SDH, SDI or ASI based need to be transported in parallel. The installation of additional optical fiber is a lengthy and expensive process, but Wave Division Multiplexing is providing a very elegant way to provide virtual fibers over separate wavelengths on an optical fiber.

Recently, See Telecom delivered a complete flexible solution for aggregating several High Definition SDI video signals with Gigabit Ethernet signals to a big operator in Belgium for delivering digital TV to the abonnees.

Provide redundant paths for all your service protocols

This gives the option to transport each of the above services over their own wavelength, without any interference between the services. All wavelengths are protocol transparent.
MANSYS can be equipped with optical switching, allowing to switch both the transmit and received path over a different physical path within typically 15 ms. This very short switching time is transparent for all protocols used  and provides a shorter rerouting for Ethernet based services than many routers can.

Manage your optical transport layer

As networks become increasingly complex with a variety of protocols and services being transported, the need grows to manage the physical layer separately from the higher layers. Routers and switches are very often not equipped to determine whether a problem is located in the routers or the physical layer. This results in lengthy and expensive fault finding processes. MANSYS is equipped with a simple but efficient Web browser based element manager, that provides alarm and monitoring of the physical layer. It can easily be integrated in any SNMP based Network Manager.

MANSYS has been designed to be very simple in installation and setup. The network management software and all updates are free of charge. It is therefore very attractive from a  CAPEX and OPEX  point of view.

Get higher bit rate more accessible

See Telecom partners with a French company Ekinops to provide the solution for transmitting any signals at 10Gbps and 40Gbps. Because of their FPGA platform completely software reprogrammable, MANSYS is now offering a huge possibility to combine any protocol (SDH, Ethernet, FC …) or video signals together using only one wavelength into the fiber.
The connectivity to high bit rate backbone networks is now far more simple than before because of the flexibility of the solution.
