See Telecom to move into new building

After about 25 years in our Braine-l’Alleud facility it was time for us to move to a more appropriate and up-to-date building. Although we are still very much focused on radio frequency products our business has evolved as well as our business model. We are much more focused on developing Innovative Customer Solution than on manufacturing products.

The new building is designed to stimulate innovation and attract young and talented people. People are at the center of our management practices and thus at the center of this new building. A NWOW concept was followed during all the design phase.

With our new “SEE Smart®” business line, aiming to incorporate the latest digital communications technologies into confined areas such as road tunnels, railway tunnels, metros, offshore plants and mines, we expect to grow fast in Europe but also outside Europe. This evolution will require to constantly train our employees and partners. It is why our building has many meeting rooms of all sizes, our SEE telecom Academy and fully equipped with the latest digital technologies.

SEE announces geolocation in its radio systems for confined areas with SYNTONY’s technology

Innovation is at the heart of SEE Telecom’s technology and business approach. Therefore, we constantly monitor market developments and listen to customers’ needs.

As part of the deployment of its SEE Smart® concept, a radically new and global architecture to distribute all types of critical communications in confined environments, SEE Telecom is now offering satellite geolocation solutions to its customers.

“We are convinced the Geolocation will dramatically increase the safety in all confined infrastructure, especially tunnels and metros. This global offer will accelerate the rollout of the SEE Smart® concept for the benefits of our customers.”, said Christophe Lebrun, CEO of SEE Telecom.

In a world first, SEE TELECOM combines its expertise in radio coverage with SYNTONY’s geolocation technology in a unique system topology based on a single radiant infrastructure for critical radiocommunication and GNSS satellite signal (GPS, GALILEO or BEIDOU) to enhance the maintenance service level and monitoring capabilities.

Thanks to the GNSS signal delivered being compatible with all receivers on the market, all public or professional applications requiring geolocation will work everywhere, including tunnels, mines, underground stations and parkings or any other confined area, where this was totally impossible without SYNTONY’s solution.

This new architecture will offer a best-in-class solution for the installation, configuration and operations. Thus, the monitoring, upgrades and scalability will be much easier and affordable.

“This announcement confirms the perfect integration of our solutions with the existing professional radio and public telecommunications systems, as experienced in subways since 2016.”, expressed Joël Korsakissok, CEO of SYNTONY.

SEE Telecom at PMRExpo 2019

SEE Telecom is proud to announce that in partnership with Telent we’ll be at the PMRExpo 2019 Network for secure communications, 26-28 November in Cologne (Germany).

During the event we’ll present our latest technologies that aim to improve the critical communication in confined areas, such as RF and Optical Repeaters for indoor with the transmission of UHF, VHF, TETRA (BDBOS), Voice Break-in FM,  DAB and for the first time, GPS geolocation.

Wireless communications, as GPS signals compatible with all standard devices are the most secure in terms of public safety, which is our first priority. So, we developed a brand new concept, SEE Smart® for tunnels and metros. SEE Smart® is a merge of technology and smart solutions that secure all the stages of the tunnel lifecycle: from construction and operation to maintenance, as well as solutions for emergency and condition monitoring.

Come and join us at PMRExpo 2019, and together we will go further.

Tunnel Oriente in Colombia

SEE Telecom contributed during the month of August to open the tunnel Oriente in Medellin, Colombia, with a length of 8.2 km is now the longest tunnel in South America.

Work inaugurated by Colombian President Ivan Duque.

Medellin, as a fast-growing city needs more developed infrastructure to keep pace with the times. For that purpose SEE Telecom provided the hardware infrastructure for the transmission of emergency communications in the tunnel by proposing and using a solution including our best know-how and engineering in the field of emergency communication in confined spaces.
